Finally. The Hero has returned home.
I still can't believe it's actaully happened! I thought it would never happen. That it would remain a dream. But finally, Spiderman has come to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
You can read the article on Marvel's website.
This is something that I have dreaming of for so long. It's a little hard to believe it's actually happening. I have to say, I am really happy about this addition to the MCU. The only small downside is that Spiderman's new solo movie means that other phase 3 films will be pushed back slightly. I am especially hurt about Black Panther and Captain Marvel being pushed back. Moreover, with Inhumans being pushed back. It may tamper with the plans set out in Agents of SHIELD. But we shall see. I am sure it will all work out. The dates being pushed back on certain phase 3 films is a minor price to pay in comparison to what the fans will be getting in return.

The pros outweigh the cons ultimately. I am sad that Garfield probably won't be Spiderman anymore. I thought he was a good choice but the scripts for ASM 1 and 2 let the cast down. I am however, looking forward to seeing Spiderman join the Avengers and fight alongside them. This will be unlike anything Marvel have done up until this point. I think it would be interesting if they chose to move away from Peter Parker and chose Miles Morales as the new Spiderman. I think it would be a bold and new direction for Sony and Marvel to take. Miles has proven himself as a worthy successor to the Spiderman name. It would be interesting to see him fit into the Avengers at such a young age.
I think that he can add a new dynamic to the team and the relationships he has with certain Avengers will be played out onscreen for the first time. Whether it would be Peter or Miles. I think that is what excites me most. The fact that this is something that hasn't been done before. Seeing Spiderman in Avengers Tower. Talking to Tony Stark. Training with Thor. Riding on The Hulk's back. All of these small things can now be realised onscreen and I for one cannot wait.
Anyways, I could talk about this forever. I might do more posts about this in future. So look out for those. In the meantime. hit me up in the comments and let me know your thoughts!
