Even PS4 characters are hyped for Switch! As I mentioned in my last post, which you can read  here.  I am now the proud owner of a Nintendo Switch. I couldn't be happier. I have downloaded a few demos (I don't have the money for all the games I want right now) and I am really enjoying Fire Emblem Warriors.  Just like Hyrule Warriors before it, it is so much more than a Dynasty Warriors game with Nintendo characters. I have finally returned. It's been a while. Over a year I believe. I have been away for too long.  I have been trying and failing to get my life together and chase and catch my dreams. But enough of the sad stuff. Let's get back to what we all love to talk about GAMES! So, Early in the year I went to the Nintendo Switch Premiere Event at Earl's Court. Eagerly waiting to play the Nintendo Switch for the first time.  ARMS was very popular. The line to wait to play was never-ending. I destroyed a few people on Ultra Street Fighter 2.  The Switch in all it's glory.  I got to play FAST RMX. Very good showcase of the Switch's abilities.  So more ARMS.  The line for Zelda: Breath of the Wild was so long. I never got to play it. It was a very busy morning.  As you can see from my terrible photography. It was busy but fun. After I left the event. I felt so excited for the Switch and couldn't wait to buy one. But, wh...

This is the second part of the things I am looking forward to this year. SO, without further ado. LET'S BEGIN! Bayonetta 2-   When I heard this was announced for Wii U. My jaw hit the floor. When that was followed up with the news that it was exclusive to Wii U. I couldn't contain my joy. I loved the first game and I can't wait to play this. If you can't see the video click  here. Hyrule Warriors-   When I heard about this game I didn't know what to think. Dynasty Warriors + Zelda =? But, then I watched the teaser and my mind was set at ease. I know. That title sounds crazy. But just think about it. I'm not saying it's the same console but, when you compare Gamecube and the Wii U there are a few similarities between the two.  Firstly and obviously, they are Nintendo consoles. But when you look at their launches and life cycles, you can see closer connections between the two. Although it's not the end of the Wii U's life cycle, it's not being sold by the bucketload much like the Gamecube, which sadly suffered poor sales figures for its entire lifecycle . Another similarity between the two is the fact that they are both underappreciated and under-rated. The Gamecube had some amazing games and the despite what people think, it was very powerful too. The Wii U is the same except people have begun to write it off before it's even had a chance to prove itself. It already has some great games and there are more to come. I think critics of it just need to be patient. As the saying goes, ...

I don't really feel like keeping calm. Be honest, we have all done it at one time or another .  But it's just so boring to be a follower, a sheep. Why not be yourself? I've seen people jump on the bandwagon because they don't want to feel left out or because they think that it's the right thing to do. Even if they don't agree, they still jump right on . Here are some examples of this: CoD (Call of Duty) - There was a time when people actually played this game because they liked the FPS genre, then once Modern Warfare came out, that changed. Players began to play it because the online mode allowed them to play with friends . Which is fine. But then, people began to say the series was good and then.... . people began to jump on the bandwagon. Soon after, everyone started saying that the series was good and you began to look like an outcast if you didn't have it or didn't like it. Luckily though, this has begun to die out. Maybe it's not so bad After the surprise announcement yesterday, I wrote a post about the 2DS and I basically said it was a waste of time. But after having some time to think about it. I can see its merits. Price - I think that the fact that the console doesn't include 3D obviously makes it cheaper to produce and that means it can have a cheaper retail price than the 3DS.  The Target Audience - It's not meant for me. I think that is why I was struggling to understand it. This console is for the children that want a 3DS but are  not old enough to utilize the 3D feature. Moreover, this console is targeted at the parents. They are always going to be looking for a good deal. This offers that. They can buy the console and  not worry about any possible health risk that the 3D may have on their children. Also, there is another audience for this console. People that want a 3DS but aren't bothered about the 3D and just want to play the games and use the featur...

Yet another nonsensical Nintendo move. This time it's a console that nobody needs or actually wants. A 3DS THAT CAN'T FOLD OR PLAY GAMES IN 3D? No. Nintendo. Stop doing these silly things. Nobody has demanded this. The 3D slider on the 3DS is already the answer. Most people don't play with 3D all the way on or don't play with it at all. Making a console without it is just a waste of time and resources. I think Nintendo should be putting those resources into future console development. This console just going to be ignored. The only word I could think of when I found out. What do you think of the announcement of the 2DS? Will you be buying one?

Oh Nintendo how I love thee, but thou annoys me! I have grown up loving Nintendo. I always will love them and the great games that they create. But, there are some things about them they I hate. I'll be using my favorite technique...LISTS!! The constant need to be behind technologically - I don't care what anyone says, Nintendo ain't poor. So that means that they can afford to use the best technology available to them. So why they constantly insist on having hardware that is weak and out of date the day it comes out is beyond me. Gamecube wasn't in this category because although it wasn't well known, the Gamecube was as powerful as its counterparts. So it makes the fact that Wii and Wii U  are weaker than their counterparts all the more painful for me. I just think Nintendo should have kept making their consoles as powerful as they could and maybe that would have meant selling them at a loss, but the great games and innovation only Nintendo can prov...

This post isn't going to be a long, detailed rant about the game industry. Rather, it's going to be a list of things that really annoy me about the industry or things I hate about it. I love everything about gaming, so I am not going to be holding back. That means Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo plus any developers I can think if will be included in the list. SEGA has kept making more Sonic games. Seriously SEGA, NOBODY WANTS SONIC ANYMORE!! GIVE US SHENMUE 3 ALREADY!!! Nintendo is always behind on technological trends. Nintendo, there is no need to do this. You have money, put some of it into making a futureproof  home console. Ubisoft making annual Assassin's Creed games. Come on Ubisoft, it's obvious you are just doing this for the money now.  Activision release CoD annually yet, the game has remained fundamentally the same since CoD 3. *sigh* Sony fanboys  constantly talking about graphics. I know, fans aren't part of the industry. I still hate it. So...
