The reason for my absence

I'm going to be honest. I've been slacking recently, it's been too long since my last post. Part of the reason for my absence is actually what the last post was based on. GTA V. But not because I was playing the game so much that I forgot about the blog (it could happen). I haven't been busy playing the game. I've been waiting for the game since last Sunday! It still hasn't arrived. Amazon has said it will arrive on Monday. So I've avoided my laptop and the internet so the game wouldn't be spoiled for me. So that on Monday I could play it and then throughout the week I plan on writing about it on the blog. Instead of playing the game. I have been preparing myself for my 3rd year at university, which starts in the first week of October. But you don't want to hear or read about that. Anyway, don't forget about me. I'm still here. I will be resuming with the blog as usual.

My life is going to be taken over by GTA V

I am going to be spending a lot of time with these dudes. The only bad thing about getting GTA V next week is, that it is coming out two weeks before I go back to University. What makes it even worse is that it's going to be my third and final year! How can I concentrate on studying when I have GTA V? How I'm going to be able to attend lectures once PS4 comes is another thing entirely. Are picking up GTA V?

Man of Steel and its problems

Image
He should be locked up for his crimes against me MAN OF STEEL WAS AMAZING!!! It was. But once you start to see it and its faults. It's not so amazing anymore. Not to take away from what Snyder did with Superman in bringing him back from the abyss that Superman Returns left him in. But I think he treated Superman too much like his previous films, that was his mistake. First of all, the film was too long. I don't know why Snyder can't tell a story in under one hundred minutes. It's possible. Snyder doesn't seem to know that though. His last four films have all been over one hundred minutes. In the case of Man of Steel, it was long for no reason. It was just needlessly long. It had too many flashbacks and took too long to get to the point. Another thing that I found really annoying about the Man of Steel was the fact that it was basically a CGI heavy version of Superman 2. It has the same villains, the same fights, the same outcome. There were differe

My Jams....

I'm Twenty years old now (I can't believe I just said that). I now find myself looking back and realise that so many of the things that influence me are way before my time. But this post will concentrate on music. I listen to modern music. But most of the new musicians I listen to are quite niche and indie. The reason for this is that I find 99.9% of modern popular music absolutely horrible. I'm not saying people shouldn't listen to it because that is their choice and they should listen to whatever they want. But this isn't about those people, it's about me. I like some modern musicians but I'll come back to that later. This is all about old school stuff. I must admit, more than 80% of the music I listen to is older than me/ Maybe that reflects the quality of music over the years into what I consider a gradual decline. All of my siblings are older than me, so I've been influenced by their music preferences. I'm just going to leave some awesom

The Beauty of Fan Art.

Image
Fan Art for the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman Film I really like Fan Art. Mostly because it showcases the talents of fans and because it often creates excitement for whatever it is based on. I really like this piece because it actually makes me feel a little excited about this film. I love the simplicity of it.  The only thing  I hate about great fan art is that it reminds me how much I suck at anything Art related. Still, at least I can admire the great work of these talented individuals. What do you think? Do you have any examples of fan art that you love? Don't forget to comment!

Can't we all just get along?

Based on the most recent developments in the gaming world, the rivalry between the different gaming communities has seemed to flare up again. This time however, it seems to be more about insulting people rather than debating. However, there are people that try to remain neutral. But can you really be neutral? These are three behaviors that I have observed online. Fanboys vs Fanboys -  This doesn't apply to all gaming fans but there are some fans that always take it too far. They should just calm down and love gaming. Ever since Microsoft changed their stance on some of the Xbox One features it created a rather large discussion. It mostly consisted of people being confused about it and then the fanboys came into the discussion. At that point, it stopped being about gaming and just became people hurling insults at each other. I for one, hate this side of the gaming community. It's never about the merits or achievements. It's just about saying the console they like is the be
