2014 is looking very promising (Part 1)

So, it's 2014. A lot of great things are coming this year. In this post I want to highlight a few things that I will be looking forward to in the new year...


  • The Amazing Spiderman 2 - 

I am really looking forward to this. I really loved the first film and I think this new film shows a lot of promise. I was a little bit worried about there being too many villains but, this trailer sort of set my mind at rest. With the news that these films will lead to a Venom and Sinister Six spin-offs. I am even more excited to see what happens with the Amazing Spiderman. If you can't see the video click here.

  • Captain America: The Winter Solider-   


Captain America returns! I loved the way the first film introduced Steve Rogers and I can't wait to see what Cap is upto after the Battle for New York. If you can't see the video click here.
  • Guardians of the Galaxy- 

This is the film I'm looking forward to the most. It just seems so outlandish and risky. After the success of The Avengers. I think another team-up film is a great idea from Marvel. The cast is one of the main reasons I'm excited. It seems like such a mismatch just like the Guardians themselves. I really want this film to do well  and I honestly believe that it will. 

  • I'll finally get my PS4-  

After all this time, I will obtain the PS4. It's not because I was waiting for the bugs to be ironed out or because I was waiting for games. It's simply because I didn't have money for one. But I'll be getting some fundage in a few days and the PS4 is the first thing I'm going to purchase. 

  • Comics,comics and more comics- 
Whether its Marvel, DC, IDW, Image or any other. I am always looking forward to more comicbook action! I can't wait to see where the New 52 is heading and how the Marvel landscape is undoubtedly going to change this year! I have a lot of reading to do......

Silly Sony

Silly Sony, they do some shocking things. You know how this goes. This constant fixation on graphics - I find this so infuriating. I like substance over style. To me, Sony and their fans just seem to look to aesthetics and then talk about gameplay. Just watch any Sony conference to see what I'm talking about. The PS4 unveiling conference. It was just full of tech demos and cutscenes . Then they tried to say all of the games will look that during gameplay, then at E3. They just didn't. But what annoys me the most is the fan response to this stuff. They always blow things out of proportion.  There are so many games I have played on PS3 that people said were aesthetically amazing, only to find the game was boring and wasn't actually that good in my opinion. Once such game was Heavenly Sword, everyone said it looked amazing, which it did. But. The game was so boring!! I just think people should stop saying games are good because they appear to be good. Switch Hype

Even PS4 characters are hyped for Switch! As I mentioned in my last post, which you can read  here.  I am now the proud owner of a Nintendo Switch. I couldn't be happier. I have downloaded a few demos (I don't have the money for all the games I want right now) and I am really enjoying Fire Emblem Warriors.  Just like Hyrule Warriors before it, it is so much more than a Dynasty Warriors game with Nintendo characters. Jrspesh's Return/Finally got a Switch!

I have finally returned. It's been a while. Over a year I believe. I have been away for too long.  I have been trying and failing to get my life together and chase and catch my dreams. But enough of the sad stuff. Let's get back to what we all love to talk about GAMES! So, Early in the year I went to the Nintendo Switch Premiere Event at Earl's Court. Eagerly waiting to play the Nintendo Switch for the first time.  ARMS was very popular. The line to wait to play was never-ending. I destroyed a few people on Ultra Street Fighter 2.  The Switch in all it's glory.  I got to play FAST RMX. Very good showcase of the Switch's abilities.  So more ARMS.  The line for Zelda: Breath of the Wild was so long. I never got to play it.
