2014 is looking very promising (Part 3)

This is the third instalment of this feature. It will be more of the same stuff. Here it cometh.

Watchdogs- 

I was really intrigued  by this game when it was revealed at E3. Last year when it was delayed so close to its original release date I had to admit I was upset. I hope Ubisoft have been using this extra time to improve the game further and make it something truly unique. Of course, only time will tell.

Mirror's Edge 2- 

I have to admit when this game first came out, I didn't like it. Then I played it. I loved it. I was hoping that it would get a sequel one day. Then E3 came and put my mind at rest. I can't wait to see what the PS4/X1 and their power create in terms of beautiful gameplay.

Dying Light-


I think this game is shaping up to be a great looking game. Combining zombies and mirror's edge type gameplay with a focus on survival. I think this is going to be a definite purchase. 


Dragon Age 3-




I know Dragon Age 2 could have been a much better game but, I am willing to give this third instalment a chance. I want this game to be good and I think it will be. That being said, I'm not always correct when it comes to these things.

The Division- 



This is another Ubisoft game that I am looking forward to playing. The concept sounds very promising and I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I just hope it doesn't become like Assassin's Creed.

Silly Sony

Silly Sony, they do some shocking things. You know how this goes. This constant fixation on graphics - I find this so infuriating. I like substance over style. To me, Sony and their fans just seem to look to aesthetics and then talk about gameplay. Just watch any Sony conference to see what I'm talking about. The PS4 unveiling conference. It was just full of tech demos and cutscenes . Then they tried to say all of the games will look that during gameplay, then at E3. They just didn't. But what annoys me the most is the fan response to this stuff. They always blow things out of proportion.  There are so many games I have played on PS3 that people said were aesthetically amazing, only to find the game was boring and wasn't actually that good in my opinion. Once such game was Heavenly Sword, everyone said it looked amazing, which it did. But. The game was so boring!! I just think people should stop saying games are good because they appear to be good. Switch Hype

Even PS4 characters are hyped for Switch! As I mentioned in my last post, which you can read  here.  I am now the proud owner of a Nintendo Switch. I couldn't be happier. I have downloaded a few demos (I don't have the money for all the games I want right now) and I am really enjoying Fire Emblem Warriors.  Just like Hyrule Warriors before it, it is so much more than a Dynasty Warriors game with Nintendo characters. Jrspesh's Return/Finally got a Switch!

I have finally returned. It's been a while. Over a year I believe. I have been away for too long.  I have been trying and failing to get my life together and chase and catch my dreams. But enough of the sad stuff. Let's get back to what we all love to talk about GAMES! So, Early in the year I went to the Nintendo Switch Premiere Event at Earl's Court. Eagerly waiting to play the Nintendo Switch for the first time.  ARMS was very popular. The line to wait to play was never-ending. I destroyed a few people on Ultra Street Fighter 2.  The Switch in all it's glory.  I got to play FAST RMX. Very good showcase of the Switch's abilities.  So more ARMS.  The line for Zelda: Breath of the Wild was so long. I never got to play it.
